Nina
Cahan, M.D.
Nina Cahan founded Coppell Associates in Family
Medicine in 1989 and operated out of the same location for 14 years
until moving to her present location in Green Oak Center on
Denton Tap Rd. near Belt Line.
Nina has built a practice that is more personal, that
can treat the entire family unit as it grows, and that treats each
patient as an individual with health care needs that vary over time.
Originally born in New York, Nina received her B.S. in
Biochemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and
her M.D. from Dartmouth Medical School. She completed her
residency for Family Medicine in New York. Her specialty is FAMILY
MEDICINE and she is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. Nina, her husband Paul, and their son Matthew reside in
Coppell.
Family physicians specialize in caring for the
physical, mental, and emotional well-being of patients and their
families. They know your family's health history and situation can
affect your health, and they are trained to care for you through all the
stages of your life.
As family physicians, we are trained in all major
medical areas. We are trained to diagnose and treat the full range
of problems people bring to us, we know when to treat you, and when to
bring in another specialist you can trust. We know that you are
not just a collection of parts, symptoms or conditions; you are a
whole person, so we treat you like one.
Family physicians know the most up-to-date treatments
and technologies. Only family physicians train for three years in
real practice settings, treating patients in the office, the hospital,
and at home. Family physicians are certified by the American Board
of Family Medicine and re-certify more than any other medical specialty.
Family physicians offer many advantages over
specialized practitioners, convenience being on of the greatest since
you can bring your entire family to one location.
